Twenty-five years after the classic TV drama 'A Step into the Past' first aired, its sequel will be presented in the form of a movie! From now until 21 January 2026, Ngong Ping 360 presents the first large-scale promotional event for the movie, 'Ngong Ping 360 X 'A Step into the Past'', bringing this beloved classic of Hong Kong people to Ngong Ping Cable Car and Ngong Ping Village, taking everyone on a journey back in time!
A 2.1-metre-tall giant 'A Step into the Past' special edition BE@RBRICK makes a surprising appearance at Ngong Ping, recreating the majestic grandeur of the Terracotta Warriors of the Qin Dynasty. In addition, movie costume exhibitions and themed cable cars will make a limited-time appearance, welcoming fans to immerse themselves in the world of the Qin Dynasty!

The cast of 'A Step into the Past', including Aaron Kwok, Bosco Wong, Jessica Hsuan, Michael Miu, Sonija Kwok, Joyce Tang, Evergreen Mak, Tsui Ho-cheung, Ng Wing-si, and director Lai Chun-lung, joined Dong Bin, Managing Director of Ngong Ping 360, at Ngong Ping Village today (12th day, 22nd month).
Aaron Kwok, the lead actor of 'A Step into the Past', said, 'What makes 'A Step into the Past' special is that it is a very old TV drama, yet it still receives a lot of support when it is made into a movie today. Recently, I saw online that many people have not watched the original series, but they watched it because of the movie version, and I think that's quite amazing. I hope that after watching this movie, everyone will be happy, and that's also why I wanted to make this movie.'

The 'A Step into the Past' special edition BE@RBRICK stands 2.1 metres tall and is designed in the image of a Terracotta Warrior, standing majestically on the avenue of Ngong Ping Village to meet with fans. It will be on display from now until 21 January 2026, so fans must not miss this opportunity!

Movie Costume Exhibition and Themed Cable Car Cabins
Continuing the Classic Story with Fans
During the event, the Ngong Ping Cable Car gift shop will exhibit the costumes of the Xiang Shaolong family from the movie 'A Step into the Past', including those worn by Aaron Kwok as Xiang Shaolong, Jessica Hsuan as Wu Tingfang, Sonija Kwok as Qin Qing, and Ju Jianyan as Xiang Baoer. This gives fans a sneak peek at the sequel that comes 20 years later, showcasing the timeless charm of 'A Step into the Past' across time and space.
From now until 31 January 2026, three standard cable car cabins will be transformed into 'A Step into the Past' movie-themed designs, allowing guests to relive the intellectual showdown between Xiang Shaolong and Ying Zheng during the event.
